What it does
axesPDF supports PDF accessibility remediation through structure-tree editing, table-header mapping, integrated PAC checks, and screen-reader previews.
Repair the logical structure directly: move or retag elements, map complex table headers and correct Unicode or artifact handling, then use integrated checks and reading-order previews to review the result. Version 2.5 adds selectable check sets and AI assistance; the final semantic assessment remains with the reviewer. The supported desktop systems are Windows 10/11. Demo mode exposes the features but adds watermarks and randomly recolours characters in saved PDFs, so evaluate output separately from a licensed deliverable.
Strengths
- Provides direct structure-tree and complex-table remediation controls.
Watch out for
- Unactivated demo output includes watermarks and randomly recoloured characters.
