What it does
Axis-Praxis presents variable fonts in editable specimens. Its interface includes font variations, font features, text size, line height and optical-size settings, with a drag-and-drop font area.
Axis-Praxis puts an editable specimen beside the controls of a variable font, a font whose weight, width or other properties can change within one file. Enter your text, choose a font or drag in a font file, and adjust the available Font Variations.
The interface also exposes font size, line height, alignment, OpenType features and colour. Its optical-size settings can link optical size to font size, with ratio and offset controls, and a CSS panel lets you apply styling. The controls available depend on the loaded font.
The page includes a variable-font browser-compatibility notice. It also asks for credit and a link to Axis-Praxis when sharing screenshots or recordings. This is a specimen playground, so a preview does not grant rights to distribute the font itself.
