What it does

Axure RP builds interactive UX prototypes with conditions, variables, working forms and data-driven widgets. It also includes flow diagrams, notes, adaptive views and developer inspection through Axure Cloud. The Windows and Mac application has a fully functional 30-day trial, followed by a subscription.

Axure's repeater widget can turn sample records into a table that users sort and filter. Working text fields, lists and radio buttons accept input, while dynamic panels show several states within one screen. These controls suit prototypes where a form or business rule must respond to what someone enters.

Building and sharing a functional flow

  1. Add the form widgets or repeater to the page.
  2. Connect mouse, touch or keyboard events to actions and conditions.
  3. Use adaptive views to represent desktop, tablet and phone layouts.
  4. Publish to Axure Cloud for on-screen comments and developer inspection.
