What it does
Badson Type Foundry publishes retail typefaces and custom type work. Its catalog includes Brand Palette collections and the layerable Guilder family.
Guilder makes the appeal of Badson's catalog clear: solid, outline and inline styles can be layered for sign-inspired lettering. Keep the text and position identical across layers, then vary their colors to compare a plain outline with a more decorative treatment. The current three-font package is all caps, with small capitals in the lowercase positions and Basic Latin coverage.
Brand Palette Collection 01 groups smaller display fonts for packaging and brand work. Choose a family or individual style, then the licence tier that matches your organization. The About page explains the distinction: Individual, Studio and Company licences cover desktop, web and apps, while Enterprise currently covers desktop only and needs a separate discussion for other uses. Check the corresponding shop item for its exact package and price before adding it to the cart.
Badson's FAQ says trial fonts are not yet offered. The Brand Palette fonts also have reduced character sets, so inspect the selected design before relying on it for accented text. Character extensions and custom lettering are available by enquiry.
