What it does
Banana Accounting Plus puts double-entry, multi-currency and income-and-expense accounting into editable tables. Choose a template, enter or import transactions and produce financial reports. The free download needs no registration, with a 70-transaction limit for most accounting applications.
Banana’s transaction table is the center of the accounting work. Start with a template, enter a few transactions and inspect the balance sheet. Imported bank entries can link to source documents; the Advanced plan adds rules that complete imported entries automatically.
| Plan | Published international annual price | Main scope |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge | Most applications up to 70 transaction rows; Cash Manager and Timesheet are unlimited |
| Professional | EUR 84 plus VAT | Standard accounting, invoices, budgets, inventory and fixed assets |
| Advanced | EUR 169 plus VAT | Import-completion rules, more table controls, custom extensions and enhanced reporting |
The free version can be downloaded without registration. Buying a paid plan creates a user account, where automatic renewal can be disabled. Keep the regional edition in mind: the Swiss price list uses CHF and includes Swiss-specific VAT features.
Separate guides cover closing the books and creating the next year’s file, including multi-currency records. Those are useful to read together before year end. Cost centers, profit centers and segments provide further ways to organize reports, making Banana a practical choice for someone who likes working in accounting tables.
