What it does
BBC iPlayer brings together BBC live channels, films, series, documentaries and archive programmes.
The live guide and complete-series collections serve different habits: follow a broadcast as it airs or work through a box set at your own pace. Audio-described and signed collections offer direct routes to accessible versions.
A valid TV Licence and BBC account sign-in are required, with the stated licence exception for S4C on-demand programmes. You must be in the UK to stream or make new downloads. Eligible programmes downloaded in the UK can be watched abroad, so prepare mobile or tablet downloads before travelling.
Strengths

Watch out for
- BBC iPlayer viewing and downloads require a valid TV Licence, apart from the stated S4C on-demand exception.
