What it does
BeepThatOut is a browser based tool that scans audio and video files for profanities and censors them. You upload a file, review the transcript, adjust word alignment on a timeline, and choose censor sounds. Exports include project files for editing software, rendered video or audio, and .srt subtitles.
The editor transcribes audio, aligns each word to the timeline, and flags profanities. Censor options include a standard beep, silence, preset sounds such as a car horn or dog bark, or an audio file you upload. A custom word list can be added. Export formats include XML for Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, plus full video, audio, or audio only with effects. Subtitles are generated as .srt files at no extra cost. Supported input formats listed include MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, and WMA. Over 50 languages are supported, and pricing lists 55 languages. Files up to 10 hours long can be processed. Plans are Hobby at $26 per month or $21 per month billed annually with 12 hours of processing and a 2 hour video limit, Creator at $37 per month or $30 per month billed annually with 32 hours of processing, and Studio at $111 per month or $89 per month billed annually with 5 users and 100 hours of processing.
