What it does

Benchmark Email combines a visual or HTML editor, signup forms, contact organization and reports. Its email audit highlights common content issues, while API and Zapier connections can keep subscriber data current.

Benchmark Email has a practical pre-send workflow. Build from a template, blank layout or imported HTML, reuse saved content blocks, then use the audit checklist to catch missing links, image URLs and alt text. A small retailer can keep a consistent header and contact block while changing the product story in each edition.

Signup forms can add new subscribers to a chosen list and tag them at signup. Those tags and custom fields then support filtering and personalized subject lines or content. The API provides another route for synchronizing contacts and pulling campaign results into an existing report.

Free includes 500 contacts, 2,500 emails per month, one user and one domain, with Benchmark branding in forms and emails. Paid accounts can remove branding and add billed users. Paid plans allow monthly sends equal to ten times their contact limit. Additional users cost USD $15 per month each.

Create an account with Signup Free. Pro raises contact and domain limits and adds list verification; Enterprise is quoted for lists above 100,000 contacts. A paid account can remove branding in Footer Settings.

  • Forms can assign lists and tags as subscribers join

Watch out for

  • Extra users on paid plans are billed separately

Best for

  • Small teams building repeatable newsletters with content checks
