What it does
Bibi is an open-source EPUB reader that can be used on a website or to open local EPUB books. It supports sharing a reading URL and embedding a book.
Bibi is useful when you have permission to publish an EPUB and want readers to open it from a link. Embedding keeps the reading experience on a webpage instead of requiring an ebook app. Only publish files you may distribute; installing the reader does not provide a catalogue or content rights.
Bibi also works as a local viewer: open its downloaded index page and drag an EPUB into the window. The project says that opening a local book does not transmit it elsewhere, which separates private reading from publishing a hosted copy.
