What it does

Bifrost Wallet is a free iOS and Android wallet for supported networks, including Flare, Songbird and Ethereum. It combines asset accounts, an NFT gallery and an application browser without a subscription tier.

Bifrost puts Flare delegation inside the asset screen. Open FLR, choose the three-dot menu and Delegate to see wrapped FLR, allocations and rewards. Wrapping converts FLR into WFLR for this workflow; unwrapped FLR is still needed for network charges.

In Edit, Add Delegation lists providers. You can allocate voting weight to up to two providers, with percentages totaling no more than 100, then inspect the allocation before confirming. Delegating assigns weight in Flare’s price-data system; it does not send the wrapped balance to the chosen provider.

Rewards depend on provider performance and can be zero. The manual Claim control submits a transaction, and unclaimed rewards expire after ninety days. Expected rewards do not protect the tokens from falling prices.

Outside Flare, Bifrost creates supported network accounts from a locally generated recovery phrase. Confirm that backup during setup. Receive displays the selected asset’s address and QR code, so check the network as well as the token name before sharing it. The software is free, but blockchain activity and external purchase providers have separate costs.

Strengths

  • The NFT gallery supports common Ethereum collectible standards
  • WalletConnect can link the mobile signer to compatible desktop applications
  • The in-app browser opens supported decentralized services

Watch out for

  • There is no native desktop app or browser extension

Best for

  • Flare users who want to inspect delegation allocations and manual claims
  • People keeping supported network accounts in one mobile wallet
