What it does
The Dictionary of Welsh Biography provides searchable and alphabetically browsable biographies of people who contributed to Welsh life and wider society.
Surname browsing is useful when a historical spelling makes a text search difficult. A concise biography can establish a person's career before following more specialized sources. The retained site is currently static and directs readers to a university publication route for new articles.
Watch out for
- The main site is static; new articles are provisionally published through a separate university route
