What it does
Birdeye combines a public crypto market terminal with developer data for tokens, trading pairs, holders and wallets. Its datasets cover prices, trades, liquidity history and portfolio analysis across supported chains.
Start with a token, then choose the question
Birdeye's public terminal places price changes beside volume, transactions, liquidity and holder measures. Its chain selector and several time windows help narrow a market comparison. Basic table browsing is available without signing in.
The developer service offers more focused datasets. A token overview gives a snapshot, a pool lookup examines one trading pair, and wallet routes support holdings and profit-and-loss analysis. Birdeye's use-case guides show how to list a token's pools and compare quotes in USD, or align price and liquidity history around the same event.
Follow a pool's liquidity through time
The pool-liquidity candle endpoint takes a Solana pool address, an optional timestamp and a direction for paging through history. Each response can contain up to 100 records, with opening, high, low and closing USD liquidity plus token balances. Its documented history begins on January 1, 2024. This particular endpoint supports Solana only.
API access requires an account and key. The pricing page lists a free Standard option and paid tiers with different compute-unit allowances, request rates and WebSocket access. Choose the endpoint and plan together: the existence of a free tier does not establish access to every dataset.
Strengths
- Separate token, pool and wallet datasets support different research questions.
- Pool-liquidity history includes token balances as well as USD values.
- Public token tables provide several activity and holder measures together.
Watch out for
- The documented pool-liquidity candle endpoint is limited to Solana and 100 records per response.
- API allowances and WebSocket access vary by plan.
Best for
- Developers building token, pool or wallet analytics
- Researchers comparing price activity with changes in pool liquidity
