What it does

BitMart offers crypto spot markets alongside card purchases, peer-to-peer offers and third-party payment services. Account balances are separated by service, including Spot, Futures and Buy & Sell. Identity verification controls withdrawals and access to the wider product range.

A balance in Buy & Sell is not necessarily available for a spot order. Under Assets, BitMart shows separate service balances, with total and available amounts. Transfer moves supported assets between the relevant accounts; check the direction and amount before confirming. This matters when funding through a purchase provider and then using the exchange.

For a spot trade, open Spot, search the token ticker, select the pair and enter the amount. The buy button includes the asset name, such as BUY BTC. Card and peer-to-peer quotes are separate purchase routes with their own counterparties and terms.

The app registration flow accepts email or mobile registration and verifies the chosen contact. On the website, identity checks begin under Account. Unverified accounts cannot withdraw; the identity guide requires advanced verification, called KYC 2, for full access across trading and other services.

Spot fees vary across four pair classes and personal tiers. The Trading Fees page identifies a pair's class and shows the signed-in account rate. BMX fee deduction currently gives a 25% discount; it is an optional token-based payment arrangement, not a reason to acquire BMX. Funding and withdrawal charges are separate.

The user agreement excludes residents of France, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, New York State and several sanctioned territories, among others. Crypto values can fall sharply, and futures add collateral and liquidation risks beyond an ordinary spot purchase.
