What it does

Bitonic buys and sells Bitcoin for euros and offers account storage, Target Orders and recurring Auto Invest plans. Its simple quote form converts between euro and Bitcoin amounts. You can keep separate recurring plans for different goals, while transactions to a personal wallet use a different fee schedule from account trades.

Setting a target price

In the Bitonic app, open Trade, choose buying or selling and select Target Order. Enter the amount in EUR or BTC and the price you want, then confirm. A buy target must be below Bitonic's current price; a sell target must be above it.

The account reserves the required balance, including charges, until execution or cancellation. A target order fills in full at the specified price or stays unfilled. You can cancel an unexecuted order to release the reservation. Reaching a market price does not guarantee execution.

What the different routes cost

Account purchases and sales have a standard 1% trading fee. There is no account-opening or custody charge, and euro withdrawals are free. Bitcoin withdrawals have a dynamic network charge shown before sending.

Auto Invest waives its service charge on the first €250 bought each calendar month across all plans. The amount above that has a 0.89% service charge. The pricing page also lists a €0.15 SEPA processing charge and network costs for sending Bitcoin to your wallet. The service-charge waiver therefore does not remove every possible cost.

Instant purchases sent directly to a personal wallet have their own service, payment and network charges. Use that route's displayed total rather than the account-trading percentage.

Eligibility and a recent service notice

Ordinary accounts require residence in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK, adulthood of at least 18, and legal capacity. US persons and sanctioned users are excluded. Identity checks and ownership checks on funding or receiving accounts apply.

On 26 October 2026, Bitonic reported unauthorized access to part of its systems and Bitcoin withdrawals from three customer accounts. It says the affected customers were reimbursed and service restored. Its incident notice says investigation continues and access to other customers' personal data could not yet be ruled out.

Strengths

  • Multiple Auto Invest plans can keep separate purchase goals organized
  • Target Orders accept an amount and an explicit buy or sell price

Watch out for

  • The Auto Invest service-charge waiver has a monthly cap and does not cover every cost
  • Balances committed to target orders remain reserved until execution or cancellation
  • Bitonic disclosed a security incident on 26 October 2026 and said investigation was ongoing

Best for

  • Eligible European users choosing between recurring Bitcoin purchases and target-price orders
