What it does
Bitstack offers Bitcoin buying and selling, bank-linked spending roundups and recurring purchases. Its app can collect small amounts from everyday spending into a weekly Bitcoin order, while its separate euro account and debit card handle ordinary payments.
Decide what should trigger a purchase
A recurring order uses a fixed schedule. A roundup instead follows spending in linked bank accounts. In the French app, open Épargne → Arrondi, choose the multiplier and bank accounts, then select the euro account or card that will fund the purchase.
Eligible euro debits are rounded to the next whole euro, and the accumulated difference is purchased every seven days after activation. For example, a €2.40 debit contributes €0.60 before any multiplier. Bank transfers and direct debits can count alongside card payments.
A positive weekly total below €1 is raised to €1; a week with no eligible debits is not charged. Stop them with Désactiver at the bottom of the roundup screen.
Linking a bank is optional for other purchases
To connect a bank, tap your profile picture or initials, then Comptes synchronisés → Synchroniser un compte bancaire. Choose the bank and complete its authorization process.
Bitstack uses Tink and Powens for this connection. Access is read-only, and authorization needs renewing after 180 days. A bank connection is needed for external-account roundups, but not for ordinary one-off or scheduled Bitcoin purchases.
Standard fees and the optional subscription
Standard has no monthly subscription. Bitcoin buying and selling cost 1.50% below €250 of combined 30-day volume, 1.25% from €250 to €1,000, and 1% above €1,000. Card-funded Bitcoin purchases add 0.70%; funding the euro balance by bank transfer has no deposit charge. The quoted Bitcoin price may also include a markup of up to 1%.
Plus costs €2.99 per month and lowers the buy/sell fee to 0.75%. It also includes limit orders and removes the Standard plan's two-goal limit. Cancellation takes effect after the paid period.
For an external Bitcoin withdrawal, the Standard speed option is free but can take up to 24 hours. Faster options charge network costs and an additional service amount.
Access and the payment card
Registration requires a phone number, email, identity checks, age 18 or above, and residence in a supported country. The published list includes France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland; it does not include every European country.
The physical Bitstack Visa card spends the euro balance, not your Bitcoin. Apple Pay is supported after activation. The card help page still lists Google Pay and a virtual card as forthcoming, so check those separately from the app's existing buying functions.
