BleachBit is an open-source cleanup tool with previews, application-trace removal and file-deletion features for Windows and Linux.
BleachBit's preview is the useful first step because cleanup can remove information an application or user still needs. Its official page describes browser caches, cookies, history and other application traces as selectable targets. Review the proposed file list and keep needed recovery material before deletion. Copies, backups and other devices are outside a single cleanup run's scope.
