What it does
BlendSwap hosts community-made Blender content, including models, materials, scenes and tools. Entries expose Blender and render-engine information alongside their individual licences. Free accounts can download assets, and paid plans expand allowances and add tool credits.
BlendSwap’s community files include editable Blender models, scenes, materials and tools. Catalogue entries expose the Blender release, render engine and licence, with Cycles, Eevee and older Blender Internal setups appearing in the library. Native .blend files can preserve a scene’s construction as well as its final geometry.
Create a free account, choose an asset and use its download button. Paid plans expand download allowances and add credits for Studio tools. Their advertised unlimited downloads are subject to a fair-use ceiling of 100 per day and 1,000 per calendar month. REST and MCP access also support catalogue search and downloads, with separate allowance and credit rules.
Licensing belongs to the individual asset. CC0, attribution, share-alike and non-commercial variants impose different conditions, so paid membership does not turn every file into commercially reusable content. Commercial-use permission for generated Studio output likewise remains subject to any underlying asset licence.
Monthly plan credits expire at the end of their billing period rather than accumulating. Separately purchased credit packs last 12 months. The free Creative Commons collection continues alongside the emerging paid marketplace.
