What it does
Blixt is a Bitcoin Lightning wallet for Android and iOS that runs lnd and the Neutrino light client on the phone. The MIT-licensed app is free to use, with channel-opening and payment-routing costs paid separately. Wallet creation happens locally without a service account.
Blixt gives the phone its own Lightning node, so channel capacity and synchronization matter as well as the displayed balance. Its transaction log distinguishes activity, and support for LNURL, Lightning Address and Keysend covers several ways to request or address a payment.
Receiving through Dunder
After creating the wallet and recording its recovery phrase, open Settings and enable Dunder LSP if you want that provider to supply incoming capacity. Choose Receive, enter an amount and create a Lightning invoice. When a payment needs a new channel, opening it incurs an on-chain cost that is deducted from the received amount.
The alternative initial funding route uses an on-chain Bitcoin deposit. Autopilot can open the first channel after that deposit; it does not automatically open another channel for every later top-up. Automatic opening can be disabled in Settings.
Keep the channel backup with the recovery words
Blixt needs its 24-word seed and an up-to-date channel backup file. Back up again after channel changes; Google Drive and iCloud are supported destinations. Restoring can close channels and require a wait before the funds become available. Running the same node state on two devices at once is unsafe.
Android Persistent Mode can keep the node running in the background. Lightning Box receiving depends on that Android mode, so it should not be assumed to provide the same always-on experience on iOS.
