What it does

Bloomreach's marketing platform connects customer and product data with personalised email and cross-channel campaigns. Frequency policies control how often customers hear from the team; annual pricing is customised around products and usage, with invited project members assigned specific roles.

Put campaigns under the same frequency policy when they should share a contact's allowance. Campaigns using different policies do not affect one another's limits. One policy can cover email, SMS, push and webhooks; separate policies are needed when channels should have independent limits. Only marketing email counts toward the email action type.

Time windows look backward from the current moment. A one-day limit therefore covers the previous twenty-four hours rather than resetting at midnight. For a launch sequence and a newsletter reaching the same people, that distinction changes which communication is eligible to send.

Administrators can choose a project default or restrict policies to user groups. Blocking a policy prevents new selection but leaves existing scenarios operating. Without another default, the system's Unlimited policy applies.

Commercial access is an annual, customized subscription combining chosen modules and usage. Excess usage is billed separately without automatically stopping marketing activity.

Staff access is managed under Settings, Project settings, Access management. Invite the colleague with the required role; the invitation lasts seven days. An Email Campaigns Editor can prepare content, while an Email Campaigns Publisher can also send it. Assign access at the project level when a colleague should work on only one brand's campaigns, since account-level roles carry into its projects.

Strengths

  • Several campaigns can share a single frequency allowance
  • Administrators can define default policies and restrict their use

Watch out for

  • Different frequency policies do not share message limits
  • Blocking a policy does not stop existing scenarios using it

Best for

  • Marketing operations teams coordinating campaign pressure across channels
