What it does

Blueshift combines customer profiles, audience selection and campaigns across email and other channels. Journey triggers decide when people enter, which steps they receive and when they leave. It uses paid plans with a standard annual commitment, even when you choose monthly billing.

Break a Blueshift journey into the decisions made at each trigger: how long the person waits, which filter they must meet and what action follows. The campaign start separately defines entry. A customer who viewed a product but did not return can therefore follow a different branch from someone who already purchased.

Exits can be implicit or explicit. Someone falls out when no remaining trigger criteria allow progress; an Exit Journey trigger can instead name the precise condition for leaving. The documented maximum is 200 triggers per campaign. Define the intended stopping condition before adding further branches, particularly when the campaign spans several channels.

The plans separate the core campaign tools from more advanced analysis and account controls:

Plan What it adds
Starter Customer profiles, audience segments and cross-channel campaigns
Growth Recommendations, predictive timing and A/B or holdout tests
Enterprise Advanced data modeling, household/account groups, single sign-on and audit trails

The standard contract lasts a year, with monthly billing or upfront payment. Optional premium onboarding and extra modules can add charges. Use Talk to Sales to arrange access, or the self-guided tour to see the platform before discussing a contract. Plans can be upgraded from the dashboard.

Strengths

  • Each trigger separates waiting, qualification and the action taken
  • Explicit exit triggers can state a campaign stopping condition directly

Watch out for

  • A campaign supports at most 200 triggers
  • The standard term is annual despite a monthly billing option

Best for

  • B2C lifecycle teams building behaviour-based journeys over unified customer profiles
