What it does

BoltAI is a native macOS app that brings OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Azure, Bedrock, and local models into one workspace. It supports projects, reusable agents, multimodal analysis, and fine-grained generation controls. It is built for Mac power users who want to switch models without leaving their current task.

BoltAI is a native Mac app for people who use several AI providers and want one desktop client. You can switch between more than 300 models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Azure, and Bedrock, and run local models through Ollama and LM Studio. The app includes reusable agents, projects, multi-chat threads, chat forking, a prompt library, and fine-grained controls for temperature, token limits, top-p and top-k, and penalties. It can analyze PDFs, screenshots, code, and documents with vision-enabled models. Chats are stored locally and are not used for training, and API keys can be encrypted with a passphrase. It also connects to local and remote MCP servers. The license is a one-time purchase with one year of updates. Cloud sync pauses if Support and Updates lapses. A free trial is available and no account is required. Windows is listed as coming soon, so the app is currently Mac, iPhone, and iPad only.
