What it does
Bookipi provides invoicing on iOS, Android and the web, with customer records, payment tracking and document sharing. Its free account allows three billing documents within a rolling 30-day period, while paid plans remove that limit. A broader set of proposal, contract and customer tools is available alongside the invoice application.
Bookipi suits a freelancer who finishes work away from the desk and wants to send the bill from the same phone. The account synchronizes with the web app, so customer records and invoice status can be followed later on a larger screen.
On the mobile Invoice screen, tap the blue +, choose or add the customer, and select the billed items. Swipe within the item options to add tax, shipping or a discount. Save the invoice, then use Send email or the sharing choices for WhatsApp, PDF and SMS. Its status distinguishes Sent, Read and Undelivered, which helps identify whether a follow-up should concern delivery or payment.
Free documents and subscription prices
The free allowance covers three documents in a rolling 30-day window, including invoices and quotations, rather than three of each type. Free invoices carry Bookipi branding.
| Web plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Invoice allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | US$0 | Three billing documents per 30 days |
| Starter | US$9.99 | US$91.20 per year | Unlimited |
| Professional | US$52 | US$468 per year | Unlimited |
Australian users are subject to 10% GST. Both paid tiers remove the invoice-volume limit, so compare the other tools you actually need before choosing Professional. App-store subscription offers can differ from web offers; one subscription provides mobile and web access.
Deposits and online collection
On the web, open an invoice and choose Request a deposit in the right panel. Enter a percentage or amount and a due date. This route requires Bookipay activation and a connected Stripe account in a supported country. After a deposit is paid, its payment details can no longer be edited.
Card collection has separate fees. Bookipi's published country table lists Slovenia at 1.9% + €0.25 for European cards and 3.4% + €0.25 for non-European cards. Confirm the rate for the payment connection you activate, since subscription charges and card processing are different costs.
For ordinary web invoicing, Invoice > + Create leads to the customer and item form. After Continue, review and Send. Keep one email address on the saved customer record; additional recipients can be supplied when sending.
