What it does
Boomi Managed File Transfer routes files between endpoints with retry handling, persistent delivery storage and transfer monitoring.
Define the organization’s source and target endpoints before building a Boomi MFT flow. External server endpoints use supplied credentials; MFT-hosted server endpoints require a generated user, and File Share endpoints need an MFT Runtime. Flows can route many-to-many deliveries, rename or compress files, and use persistent storage, retries and auto-resume while operators track results. Credential changes must be propagated to every flow using that endpoint. Retention policies can remove stored content after a configured period, so the delivery store is not a permanent archive. A trial is offered; confirm its MFT coverage and purchased endpoint allowances.
Strengths

- Retry, exception and delivery visibility controls
