What it does
Boords is a web app where video teams write scripts, build storyboards and turn boards into timed animatics. Clients comment on frames and approve cuts through a share link without an account. Scripts, storyboards and sign-offs stay in one project with version history.
Boords keeps scripts, storyboards and animatics in one project. Teams write and comment on a script, convert it into storyboard frames, add or generate images, then build a timed animatic so pacing is agreed before editing. Clients open a share link, comment on the frame itself and approve the cut without an account. Every comment, version and sign-off stays on the record, and boards can be reordered by drag and exported in one click. Integrations include an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT, a Slack app that sends board mentions and comments as direct messages, a public API and webhooks. The free plan covers 5 active storyboards, 3 active scripts and 8 one-off sample AI image credits. Paid plans run from Solo at $39 per month for one user with 250 AI images per month up to Agency at $250 per month for up to 30 users with 3,000 AI images per month. Converting a script to a storyboard creates a snapshot, so later script edits do not automatically update the board.
