What it does
BoxLab combines a visual artwork editor with flat packaging templates, called dielines, and 3D mockups. It supports dimensions, materials, lighting and simulated foil or spot-UV finishes. Free access exports watermarked images and JPG dielines; saving projects and vector exports require a paid plan.
Choose a structure, enter its dimensions and add images, text, shapes or QR codes. Objects move by dragging or with the arrow keys. Holding Shift constrains a drag to a straight line, and multiple objects can be selected and moved together.
The 3D view combines the artwork with material, light and shadow settings. Foil and spot-UV previews show how a proposed finish changes the package's appearance. Scene generation places the mockup in a background for presentation, while the dieline remains available for its flat layout.
| Access | Price in USD | Dieline formats | Saved projects and images |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | USD 0 | JPG | No project saving; watermarked images |
| Monthly | USD 10 per month | JPG, PDF, SVG and DXF | Project saving and clean images |
| Yearly | USD 80 per year | JPG, PDF, SVG and DXF | Project saving and clean images; team seat options |
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. BoxLab’s terms require you to check downloaded dielines before printing because they can need adjustments.
