What it does
Braavos is a free Bitcoin and Starknet wallet for mobile and browsers. Its Starknet accounts offer biometric signing and a multisigner option that combines approvals from a phone and browser.
Braavos puts the Starknet account's approval rules in the wallet setup. A mobile Hardware Signer uses the phone's protected signing hardware and biometrics. A browser Passkey Signer is another option; the Multi Signer arrangement combines device approvals. These are Starknet controls, not a promise that native Bitcoin transactions use the same rules.
Choose Create Wallet, set a local password and record the twelve recovery words. A transaction or the deploy tooltip completes the account's blockchain activation. No conventional service registration is part of this documented wallet-creation path.
For the mobile Hardware Signer, open Starknet Account security, select Hardware Signer and tap Set Security, then Add Hardware Signer. Completing setup requires signing its transaction. To combine phone and browser approvals, enable Multi-Signer in the extension's account settings, scan its QR code with the mobile app, confirm the seed backup and sign the setup request.
Recovery is a reason to understand the extra signer before enabling it. Import Your Braavos Wallet accepts the saved words and a new password, but deleting an app with Hardware Signer enabled triggers an additional removal process. The current recovery guide specifies a four-day delay before full access returns. An ordinary password reset does not replace the recovery words.
The app download is free. Braavos advertises sponsored network charges for supported mobile Starknet actions, including swaps; that does not establish a zero total price for every exchange or investment. Review the chosen route's output and provider conditions. Asset prices and lending positions can lose value even when transaction approvals work as intended.
