What it does
Braze connects customer data with email, mobile and other messaging channels. Campaigns and Canvas journeys support triggered messages, tests and personalized content, with controls for how often each person is contacted. A 14-day trial requires no card; ongoing access uses a quoted contract and has no free plan.
A capped Braze message does not necessarily end its journey. When global frequency capping skips a Canvas Message step, the person continues through the Canvas. Delivery validation is a separate control that can cause an exit. Define those behaviours independently when a welcome sequence should stop after a change in eligibility.
Caps are checked before quiet hours and again at a delayed send. Crossing midnight can change the result because the user's local calendar determines daily caps. A transactional campaign can bypass capping, with a separate choice about whether it still counts towards the cap.
A Braze contract combines the chosen Platform Edition, monthly active users and stored profiles, Action Credits and support services. Action Credits cover messaging and certain AI functions across channels. Both the size of the active audience and the mix of channels affect the package you request.
Use Start a free trial for 14 days of access without a credit card, or Get pricing for a commercial quote. Braze explicitly has no permanent free plan, so the trial is for evaluation before arranging ongoing access.
Strengths
- Send suppression and journey exit can be controlled as separate decisions
- Channel use can be allocated through a shared Action Credit model
Watch out for
- Global frequency capping alone does not remove a person from a Canvas
- A quiet-hours delay can cross into a different calendar-day cap calculation
Best for
- Lifecycle teams coordinating message frequency and customer eligibility across channels
