What it does
Brewfather combines brewing recipe calculations with batch tracking, water profiles, process guidance and fermentation records.
Brewfather links recipe predictions to batch observations, with selectable Tinseth/Rager/Noonan/Garetz bitterness methods. Configure the equipment before scaling: batch target can mean cold fermenter volume or hot end-of-boil kettle volume. Its default 4% cooling shrinkage converts cold=hot×0.96 rather than modelling exact temperatures. Absorption uses L/kg or qt/lb, and boil-off/losses affect water and gravity estimates. Offline edits auto-save and sync when connected. Free access allows 25 recipes/25 batches; Premium adds BeerXML/BeerJSON/Brewfather JSON import/export, PDFs, versioning and API. Eligible new users get a 30-day Premium trial without a card. If trial data exceeds free limits, it remains stored but excess items become read-only until reduced or upgraded. Premium Plus separately adds AI credits and file attachments.
