What it does

finanzblick is Buhl's free personal-finance app and browser service for supported German bank accounts. It combines balances, transactions, automatic categories, spending reports and budget alerts. A buhl:Konto links the phone and browser views, with no subscription or in-app purchase charge.

Choose a spending category such as groceries, give it a limit and follow the budget alert as the allowance runs low. The transaction reports provide the detail behind the limit. Automatic categories can be corrected when a purchase belongs somewhere else.

One Buhl login across devices

Use Kostenlos nutzen on the website to reach the buhl:Konto sign-in. An existing Buhl login can be reused. For a new account, enter an email and password, then confirm through the emailed code or link. The password requires at least eight characters, including a letter, number and special character.

The same account synchronizes the browser service with the iPhone, iPad and Android apps. The mobile apps also offer quick cash-expense entry and access to stored loyalty cards. Fingerprint or Face ID access is available on supported devices.

Cost and bank fit

finanzblick is permanently free, without paid in-app upgrades. Its connected banking is built around German institutions and their supported online-banking connections. Buhl's support area provides a bank-compatibility check.

Strengths

  • Offline and cash accounts can supplement connected bank records.
  • Documents and receipts can be attached to transactions.
  • Account-activity notifications flag incoming and outgoing payments.

Watch out for

  • Connected banking is focused on supported German institutions.
  • Offline account records require manual maintenance.

Best for

  • Households tracking spending across supported German banks
  • People combining cash purchases with connected card and current accounts
