What it does

WISO Mein Geld is Windows personal-finance software for German households managing bank accounts, spending history and budgets. It combines online retrieval with offline accounts, categorized transactions and documents. Access is paid, with a 30-day trial through a buhl:Konto account.

Bring bank and cash records together

After installation, choose Konto einrichten to set up an account. Select its type, enter the bank identifier and choose an access method supported by your bank. The setup assistant then asks for the relevant login details and lets you select the accounts to bring in. Existing records can instead enter through Ersteinrichtung > Daten importieren, including CSV files.

Open Buchungen to review the transactions. A right-click assigns a missing category. For cash, create a Bargeldkonto, enter its opening amount through Neu > Eröffnungssaldo and use Neue Buchung for later entries. Buchungen > Umbuchen records a movement between accounts, such as an ATM withdrawal into the cash account.

Monthly comparisons and budget reports build on those categories. Historical entries remain searchable, and supporting documents can stay beside the relevant booking.
