What it does
Builder.io provides collaborative interface creation with a visual editor connected to code, components and design tokens. Its platform separates Code for app and UI work from Content for managed experiences.
Builder has two related products: Code for changing applications and interfaces, and Content for managing published content. Components made in Code can become building blocks in Content, while Content can supply material to an application.
In Code, use Connect Repo on the Projects page, choose a repository and complete its project settings. Add your design-system repository as context, then use the Generate tab to describe a change with supporting Figma designs or screenshots. The visual editor also has Insert and Layers controls. With Commit Mode set to Pull Requests, Send PR opens the change for the team’s normal code review.
Code’s Free plan has 60 monthly agent credits, capped at 15 per day, and one design system. When credits run out, wait for the reset or upgrade. Pro adds more credits and custom domains; Team adds commenting, peer reviews and separate developer, designer and editor roles. Paid Code plans charge per user, with additional usage available separately.
Choose the Code or Content tab when checking prices, because they have separate plans. An account and repository authorization are needed for the connected-code workflow.
