What it does
Camelot supplies decentralized spot liquidity for Arbitrum One and chains built with Arbitrum Orbit. Traders can choose among routing and pool modes. V4 pools add configurable plugins and concentrated liquidity, so two pools for the same token pair can behave differently.
Camelot's focus is the Arbitrum ecosystem. Its swap documentation distinguishes aggregated routing from direct V3 and V2 modes. That choice affects which liquidity can supply the trade; compare the output, minimum received and price impact before deciding.
Select the swap mode, outgoing token and amount, then the receiving token. Choose Swap, review the next window and confirm through the connected wallet. Tokens that apply their own transfer tax need extra care, since the tax can change the amount ultimately received.
There is no single fee that describes every Camelot pool. V4 can use adaptive charges based on recent volatility and sliding fees that depend on trade direction. Custom pools may attach their own fee and plugin configuration. The pair name alone is therefore insufficient when comparing two quotes.
For liquidity providers, V4 positions are limited to a chosen price range. The documented V4 plugin configuration remains in a beta testing stage, and a security plugin can pause an individual pool or all pools during an emergency. These controls are worth understanding before committing assets to a position. A simple token conversion needs the swap flow; supplying liquidity requires reviewing the specific pool configuration as well.
