What it does
Careers@Gov is Singapore’s Public Service careers gateway. It connects information about ministries and statutory boards with vacancy applications, early-career routes, traineeships and guidance for people changing careers.
Explore the type of public-service work before following Apply Now. Early-career and GRIT@Gov traineeship routes are presented separately, while information about growth, rotations and attachments helps explain career development within the service. Department and agency context matters when comparing the work behind a job title.
The official FAQ says non-Singaporeans can be considered, generally in roles requiring skills in shortage locally. That is a qualified route, so use the specific advertisement’s eligibility requirements. Application tracking also has a practical limit: the FAQ says the portal does not currently provide application-status tracking and directs further queries through its support form. Keep copies of submitted information and agency correspondence so a follow-up can identify the role and application. Use the service’s recruitment FAQ for process questions rather than assuming a general job-board workflow.
Strengths
- Connects Singapore Public Service career exploration with recruitment routes
- Provides specific guidance on non-citizen consideration and application follow-up
Watch out for
- The official FAQ states that the portal does not currently offer application-status tracking.
Best for
- People considering Singapore Public Service roles or entry programmes
