What it does
Careers Wales provides career planning, job information, vacancy and apprenticeship discovery, and course searches for Wales. Its tools include interest matching, decision-making quizzes, a Support Finder and easy-read My Future information.
If choosing a direction is the difficult part, begin with Career Match or the subject-to-job information. The decision-making quiz addresses how you make choices, which is a separate question from which occupation sounds attractive. Job information can then help investigate the suggested work.
When the direction is clearer, use the Welsh job, course or apprenticeship search. Support Finder provides a route to programmes that can help develop skills or work opportunities, while My Future offers easy-read career information. The preparation area covers CVs, applications, personal statements and interviews. Use the tool that fits the next decision rather than treating a quiz result as a requirement to apply for a particular role.
