What it does
The International Carnivorous Plant Society provides growing guides, historical documents and free educational material. Its community includes hobby growers, scientists, conservationists and educators.
Carnivorous plants are a specialist interest, and the ICPS gives a new grower a more suitable starting point than a general houseplant feed. Begin with the relevant growing guide before considering a plant, then use the educational material to understand the group in more detail. Historical documents and research events serve a different, deeper interest. The society welcomes beginners as well as professionals, so choose the resource that matches the question rather than assuming every scientific presentation is introductory. Virtual events have their own registration details; the public guides are the simpler first stop.
