What it does
CATMA is a browser tool for text annotation and analysis with custom tagsets, overlapping annotations and collaborative projects.
Create a CATMA project, import and preview the text, then keep tags and annotation collections with the relevant documents. Once imported, document text cannot be changed through the metadata editor. Changes save to each member's copy, but sharing the latest work requires explicit synchronization and may involve conflicts. Export selected documents and annotations as a tar.gz containing TXT and TEI-XML, or export query results as CSV. The CSV uses UTF-8 and semicolons, which matters when opening it in a spreadsheet. Project roles determine who can edit or delete resources.
