What it does
CBS News carries written and video reports on US and world affairs, alongside live coverage and material from its news programs.
Program links make it possible to move from a short headline to a broadcast interview or investigation. That is particularly useful when a story's supporting material appears in a longer segment rather than the homepage summary. Choose a named programme such as 60 Minutes or Face the Nation for longer investigations and interviews. The national and local live-channel routes serve a different purpose from an individual on-demand story.
