What it does
CCAvenue offers online payment collection for Indian businesses, with hosted checkout, payment forms and itemized invoices. Forms can collect customer details without a separate merchant website, while invoices support scheduled billing and payment terms. Its Standard online plan lists a 2% platform fee plus GST, with different rates for some methods and custom Enterprise terms.
In the merchant dashboard, open Forms > + Create Form and start from a template or blank form. Add the required fields and product or amount details, then publish a shareable link. Conditional fields can ask different questions according to an earlier answer.
Invoices take a different approach. Add the business logo, line items, taxes and payment terms, then send the customer an email or SMS with a payment button. Early-payment discounts and late-payment charges can be included. A recurring invoice can be scheduled weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually, and its schedule can be paused or reactivated. This automates sending the bill; the chosen collection arrangement still determines how the customer pays.
Indian online processing prices
The Standard plan has no setup charge. Its main 2% platform rate has method-specific exceptions:
| Payment route | Listed rate |
|---|---|
| Standard online payments | 2% |
| Credit card on UPI | 2.15% |
| Domestic corporate or commercial cards | 3% |
| International cards | 3% |
| Multi-currency processing | 3.5% |
GST is additional. A Shopify plugin adds a 0.20% platform charge, and other services such as tokenization have their own fees. Confirm the schedule for the business category and methods being activated; Enterprise terms are quoted.
Once payments begin, keep the invoice and delivery records with the transaction: CCAvenue's dispute process asks merchants for supporting documents when a customer challenges a charge.
