What it does
CellMapper is a cellular tower and signal map with provider selection, location searches and filters for bands, frequencies and tower information.
Select the operator and technology, then narrow the map by location, band, date or accuracy filters. Distinguish tower markers from measured signal trails and inspect verified/unverified status. CellMapper’s FAQ explains that uploaded Android observations are processed on its backend; a calculated tower position can be wrong, particularly with uneven measurements or inaccurate phone/GPS reports. Low-accuracy towers use a simpler best-signal location fallback. New map data may take minutes, days or up to a week to generate. Editing requires login. These collected observations help investigate network layout but do not guarantee indoor reception at an address.
