What it does
c.Email is an app and browser extension for encrypted mail using an existing address. It documents device-side encryption, signed messages and several access levels, including a biometric liveness mode.
c.Email connects an existing address and performs an identity check to create a decentralized identity document containing public encryption and verification keys. That setup is a different requirement from simply creating an alias.
The sender then chooses among three modes. Ordinary mail is unprotected; Secure applies authentication and encryption; For Your Eyes Only also requires a continuing recipient liveness check, using an on-device biometric template from the identity verification. Choose the mode around what the recipient can use. The current pricing page offers Free while Premium and business tiers are marked coming soon.
