What it does
Centime combines invoice processing, collections, expense records and a cash-forecasting workbench for finance teams using supported accounting systems. Its forecast uses payable, receivable and bank data to model the cash effect of planned activity.
Centime connects the flows that determine a finance team's cash position. Payables tools capture and code invoices, match purchase orders and route approvals. Receivables tools organize aging, collection reminders and cash application, while expense management brings corporate-card records into the accounting workflow.
Build and adjust a cash view
Cash Flow Workbench provides a rolling 13-week forecast. Select Run Forecast, wait for processing and review the updated balances and projected cash streams. Hovering over the run button shows the last synchronization time.
To organize the model, go to Settings > Forecast > Cash Flow Groups and choose Add new Group. Name it, select activity and flow types, add ledger accounts or suppliers and save. A member combination can belong to only one group; changing group structure recalculates the baseline. For a common what-if, open Decision Desk's Standard tab, choose a scenario, set its parameters and apply it.
QuickBooks, NetSuite and Sage Intacct are listed for forecasting.
Access and costs
An administrator invites colleagues under Settings > Company Profile > Users. They receive a sign-up email and must verify their account before working with invoices or payments. Limited-access approvers have predefined roles; changing their permissions upgrades them to full access. Centime's user guide says extra full-access users are charged, while additional limited-access users are not.
Arrange the software fees and any trial with Centime; the terms place the applicable details inside the application. CentimePay card processing has separate charges. The published markup is added to the underlying interchange fee:
| Annual processing volume | Markup per transaction |
|---|---|
| Up to $1 million | 0.50% + $0.49 |
| Over $1 million to $5 million | 0.48% + $0.49 |
| Over $5 million to $10 million | 0.46% + $0.49 |
| Over $10 million | 0.45% + $0.49 |
Interchange varies by card transaction, so these markups are not the total processing cost.
Strengths
- Uses invoice and bank activity in a rolling cash forecast
- Offers cash-flow grouping and parameter-based scenarios
- Provides predefined limited-access approval roles
Watch out for
- Editing a limited-access user's permissions makes that user chargeable at full access
- Card processing adds a markup to variable interchange fees
Best for
- Mid-market finance teams connecting invoice operations to a cash plan
- QuickBooks, NetSuite or Sage Intacct users coordinating payables and collections
