What it does

Centsible assigns available money to budget envelopes, carries unused funds forward and lets you move money between categories. The iOS and Android app accepts manual entries and CSV imports. A US$99.99 lifetime purchase covers offline use after a 34-day trial, with two years of device sync included.

Enter a bill's amount and due date, then watch how much of it has been funded. For variable spending, move money between envelopes when an expense exceeds its allocation.

Allocate money you already have

Centsible calls unassigned cash Available Funds. Record income under that category, then allocate it to your spending categories. The available total falls as the envelope balances rise. This makes an irregular expense a funding decision: for example, build a repair category over several months rather than treat the whole repair bill as ordinary monthly spending.

Record purchases as they happen, split mixed purchases across categories and reconcile your recorded balance against the bank. If you fall behind, import a bank CSV file. Centsible does not download transactions directly from your bank or migrate a complete budget from another app.

What the lifetime purchase covers

The trial lasts 34 days and needs no payment card. The US$99.99 purchase includes unlimited budgets, categories, accounts and transactions for offline use. Taxes apply where required. Multi-device sync is included for two years, then costs an optional US$12 per year. Offline use continues without that subscription.

Download the iOS or Android app and sign up to begin. Separate email logins for partners are not supported, so this is less suited to households that need individual user accounts.

Strengths

  • Unused envelope funds roll into the next month.
  • Reports compare monthly spending by category.

Watch out for

  • There is no direct bank-transaction download.
  • Separate partner email logins are not supported.
  • Device sync requires an optional annual subscription after two included years.

Best for

  • People who prefer manual envelope budgeting and CSV imports
  • Mobile users who want an offline license with optional device sync
