Give hrPING a host or address, then choose the probe type, interval and packet-size behavior. It can use ICMP echo, UDP or ICMP timestamp messages, display graphs or summaries, and keep several probes in flight instead of waiting for every reply. A size sweep helps compare responses across packet sizes, while error replies have separate statistics. Compare like-for-like settings because firewalls can handle each probe type differently. This Windows freeware uses raw sockets and usually requires membership in the Administrator group. Its high-resolution timers are measurement machinery; CPU timer behavior and the tested path still affect what the timings mean.
