What it does

Chamaileon lets teams create emails with reusable blocks, brand styles, comments and approvals. Designers can lock layouts while contributors update text, images and links. Paid subscriptions are tailored to the team and include onboarding, template migration and design-system setup.

A contributor does not need control over every design setting to update an email. Chamaileon's inline editing lets them change text, images, links and buttons while access to layout properties is restricted. Designers can build reusable blocks and establish brand styles before those content updates begin.

Block locks have two scopes. Locked Design leaves text, image and URL edits available; Locked Design and Content restricts everything. A saved block retains its lock when reused in another email. Contributors cannot change the lock, while Editors, Admins and the Owner can. A contributor can therefore update an approved layout without being able to unlock it.

The separate Review and Approval interface gathers comments and final sign-off outside the live editing canvas. Subscriptions start at USD 400 per month or USD 4,000 per year, with the final package tailored to the team. Onboarding includes design-system setup, template migration and live training. Use Book a call to arrange a consultation; billing and downloadable invoices are managed in the workspace account.

  • Saved blocks retain their editing locks when reused
