What it does

CharlieHR gives UK small businesses employee onboarding, document storage, time-off requests and people reporting. Leave requests go to the right approver, with balances and overlapping absences visible before approval. Core pricing follows team size, with separate recruiting and advisory options and a trial that does not require card details.

CharlieHR routes a leave request to the appropriate approver and updates the company calendar. Employees can see their balance and receive a warning when a request clashes with approved leave. The company calendar can also sync with Outlook, Google Calendar, or iCal.

Leave types can be customized for arrangements such as birthday leave or time off in lieu. Public holidays and new-starter allowances are included in the leave workflow.

Core starts at GBP 21 per month for one to four people. Charges follow the team-size bracket, so moving into a new bracket changes the following invoice. Charlie Recruit is a separate add-on starting at GBP 55 per month; Charlie Grow provides advisory support.

The trial needs no credit card, but Recruit and Grow are not automatically included. Existing users enter the company domain from their welcome email or administrator, then sign in with their email and password.
