What it does
CIMB’s Philippine service combines mobile savings, bill payments, remittances and virtual debit-card tools. UpSave is its peso savings account with no monthly maintenance charge or minimum balance. GSave and LazSave offer additional access through partner channels.
For an existing customer, moving to the newer CIMB Bank PH app starts with the old app’s username. Enter the registered email, verify it with the six-digit code, then create a password and MPIN. If the username has been forgotten, use Forgot? → I forgot my username. This keeps migration separate from a new account application.
New applicants select Open an account, prepare identification and complete the eligibility and contact-detail steps. UpSave applicants must be Philippine citizens aged at least 18, with a Philippine mailing address, active local mobile number and accepted primary ID.
Saving and transferring with UpSave
UpSave has no minimum balance, and monthly maintenance, below-balance and closure charges are currently waived. Transfers to other CIMB accounts and outbound PESONet transfers also have no charge. InstaPay costs ₱10 per transfer after the first two daily transfers, whose fees are currently waived. The daily allowance is ten InstaPay transfers, with limits of ₱50,000 per transfer and ₱100,000 in total.
On the app dashboard, open Deposit to view the account’s details and status. The bank allows up to ten active UpSave accounts. GSave and LazSave have their own partner routes, so their names should be kept distinct when following account instructions.
Bill payments, remittances and virtual debit-card tools sit alongside saving products. For a problem, the in-app Help Center includes Give Us Feedback, FAQs and tutorials.
