What it does

Circit provides audit confirmation requests, bank-data access and a shared workspace for engagement documents and outstanding requests. Audit teams use Confirm for external responses and Verify for transaction data supplied through bank connections. Access and fixed-fee pricing are arranged with Circit.

Send and follow confirmation requests

A balance confirmation and a transaction-data extract answer different audit questions. Circit keeps those tasks in Confirm and Verify.

Confirm offers more than 100 request templates and accepts a firm's own versions. A spreadsheet upload can create requests in bulk; previous-period templates and documents can be carried forward for the next engagement. Digital letters of authority collect the client's approval.

Request statuses and reminders show what is still outstanding. Reviewers can accept or reject responses and flag exceptions for follow-up. At the end, the request, response, messages and supporting documents can be exported together in one file.

Review transactions supplied by banks

With Verify, the client authorizes a connection for the required period. Circit obtains data through open-banking connections, corporate bank interfaces or Swift statement feeds. Access permissions can be assigned by team, client and engagement.

A team can inspect daily balances and movements, tag transactions, filter cash flows and export a structured workbook containing the data, tags and review notes. For example, these exports can support a comparison between a client's cashbook and the bank's transaction history; the confirmation response remains a separate item.

Coverage and access

Circit advertises fixed-fee confirmation pricing, with the amount arranged directly. Its network includes more than 3,000 providers across over 50 countries, according to Circit, but a particular bank and connection method still need checking. Platform use requires a registered account, and bank-data access depends on the client's authorization.

Strengths

  • Verify retains version history for bank-data review
  • Engage brings document requests, signing and outstanding client actions into a shared workspace

Watch out for

  • Bank-data connections require the client to authorize access
  • Provider and connection coverage varies; the network totals do not guarantee a particular bank

Best for

  • Audit teams sending many external balance confirmations
  • Engagement teams reviewing bank transactions alongside client records
