What it does
Cisco Secure Endpoint provides endpoint protection, EDR and investigation features, including USB-device controls and integration with Cisco XDR.
Cisco Secure Endpoint's USB controls are a concrete evaluation case: administrators can define approved devices and review blocked-device events during an investigation. The page also describes endpoint detection and threat hunting. Pick one workstation group with a clear removable-device policy and trace how an exception would be handled. Distinguish the endpoint product from the separately linked Cisco XDR and network-security services when defining the deployment's scope.
The licensing table places one-click host isolation in Essentials, advanced investigation in Advantage and Talos Threat Hunting in Premier. If managed hunting is the reason for purchase, an endpoint-agent entitlement alone does not establish that service.
