What it does

Clio Grow manages prospective clients, intake forms and appointments for law firms. It has a separate workflow from Clio Manage’s ongoing case work. Grow is included in Elite or quoted as an add-on for Core and Signature; access begins with a Grow account.

Clio Grow's Pipeline has Intake, Hired and Not hired categories. Within each, columns correspond to the firm's matter statuses. Dragging a matter card changes its status; dragging a column only rearranges the view. Quick view opens essential matter information without leaving the board.

For an intake review, filter by assignee, matter type, first-touch marketing source, value or creation date. Matters that need the firm's attention is a narrower filter than its name may suggest: it shows matters with a New label or an automated workflow error. Changing a new matter's status removes its New label.

Settings > Pipeline can default the view to matters assigned to the current user. Check that preference before treating a colleague's missing matter as a missing record.

Set up Grow access

Contact Clio sales or support to create the Grow account, then sign in at grow.clio.com using email and password. Grow access depends on the selected Clio plan:

Clio plan Grow access
Core Quoted add-on
Signature Quoted add-on
Elite Included

Grow AI has its own charge per hired matter. On a phone, use the mobile website; Grow does not have a separate native mobile app.

Strengths

  • Pipeline filters distinguish intake ownership, source and matter type
  • Quick view exposes matter details within the board

Watch out for

  • Grow uses a mobile website rather than a separate native mobile app

Best for

  • Law firms reviewing incoming matters and coordinating intake ownership
