What it does
Clipchamp is a video editing tool from Microsoft. It runs in a web browser and as a Windows app found in the Start menu on Windows 11 or downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Users can record screen, camera and voice, edit video, add AI subtitles and AI voiceovers, use stock video, images, music and templates, and export in HD up to 4K. Premium features come with a Microsoft 365 subscription. A free signup and pricing, about and support pages are available.
Clipchamp was founded in Australia in 2014 and joined Microsoft in 2021. It is now part of the Microsoft 365 suite. The AI text to speech feature is free for all Clipchamp video editor users, and the site states that videos and audio can be exported in HD without watermarks. The AI voiceover generator works in many languages and allows pitch, pace and emotion adjustments. The site integrates with Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Xbox and GIPHY. Support is handled through Microsoft.
